Research Focus

The department places a strong emphasis on research, both for its students and staff. Starting at undergraduate level, Social Work students must complete a written dissertation under the supervision of faculty assigned to their topical areas.

Our research focuses on four thematic areas namely;

(i) Children and youth,

(ii) livelihoods and social development,

(iii) health and well being,

(iv) rights, peace and governance
