The NORAD-funded RESILIENT project will host a free seminar on the INTEGRATING GENDER IN SOCIAL RESEARCH AND SOCIAL WORK EDUCATION
Integrating gender has long been recognised as a critical process in any research and development undertaking. This is premised on the longstanding inequalities and differences between different genders and their implications on development opportunities and outcomes. This (online) webinar aims to share hands-on guidance to students, educators and practitioners on how to integrate gender through the different stages of social research right from design to publishing the results. The discussions will also focus on the representation of women in scientific research and publications as well as in social work education and management.
The Keynote Speaker is Associate Professor Florence K. Muhanguzi, from the School of Gender and Women studies at Makerere University. She teaches gender and social research and has researched extensively on gender, women and development.
